Wednesdays Speciality Dance 9.00 - 9.30pm:

The latest on the troupe and speciality front.

This month we've used floor work and a range of props, with advanced Egyptian elements and generally indulging in all things of a speciality nature. Keep watching this space for updates on the video front. However, the big thing at the moment is our burlesque inspired track which we're using as the backdrop for some ATS (American tribal style) for the next few weeks. We'll post footage as soon as we can.

TROUPES:
Those of you who want to perform are offered the chance to take part in troupe rehearsals. There are a range of troupes concentrating on different areas of belly dance interest and if you look at the 'student troupes' page you'll get a flavour of which might suit your personal tastes and dance style.
Some students take part in all troupes but this takes a lot of time, experience and dedication and I'd advise ladies thinking of doing this to build up slowly rather than rush in and find it's too much for them. Methods of joining a troupe are to be asked to join or to express an interest to myself or other members of the troupe, either they or I can let you know when a place becomes available within the group. The most important assett you bring to troupes will be your enthusiasm but obviously having enough experience to participate without feeling out of your depth is important too. After all, belly dance is fun and we want you to continue to have fun with it. Why not come along and watch the top group dancing to see what this class entails and to inspire you too?
